Typhoon XCU 200g Undersuit
The Typhoon XCU 200g Undersuit is ideal for winter diving, extremely deep diving or extended duration diving. Made from a Ree-Tec outer and fibre pile inner with double fill, the suit has a TOG rating of 4.5.
This is a traditional style thinsulate undersuit. But traditional means it is tried and tested. Scuba Leeds has been using the Typhoon XCU 200g Undersuit in the school since 2015. It is ideally suited to trilaminate drysuits. We use this undersuit in conjunction with the Azdry Pro Sport and Otter Brittanic drysuits. If you are new to owning your own drysuit or are looking for something warmer to wear with a base layer then this will be ideal.
Typhoon XCU 200g Undersuit Features:
- Front Zip
- Fleece inner wicks moisture away from the body
- 200g Thinsulate middle gives excellent thermal properties
- Breathable Ree-Tech outer allows moisture to escape
- Ree-tech outer is also made from a touch rip stop nylon
- TOG Rating 4.5
Sizing The Undersuit
A drysuit undersuit should be a little baggy when worn on its own. If the undersuit is too ‘fitted’ in its appearance when you are stood in it, then it can ride up when you are sat down. The suit should also have extra length in the spine for the full range of movements in scuba diving. The best example of this is bending over or crossing your leg to put your fins on.
