What a great way to introduce children to scuba diving in a pool in less than six feet of water. PADI Bubblemaker is as fun as it sounds – a chance for kids to blow bubbles by scuba diving. Children who are at least 8 years old can use scuba gear to breathe underwater and swim around in shallow water.
You could even celebrate a birthday by throwing a memorable, exciting Bubblemaker party with friends and family at one of our Scuba Leeds Pool Parties. It’s fun, easy and safe.
What will I do?
Youngsters can join in the family fun of scuba diving or even start a trend! Children should be comfortable in the water, but they don’t have to be super swimmers. With youngsters in mind, the maximum depth is only 2 metres/ 6 feet.
During the PADI Bubblemaker program, kids get a chance to:
- Experience what scuba diving is like under the direct care and supervision of PADI instructors
- Take their first breath underwater
- Learn about and use scuba diving equipment
- Have lots of fun
What scuba gear will I use?
In the Bubblemaker program, participants get a basic introduction to how to use scuba gear, how to clear a regulator and mask, and an overview of breathing do’s and don’ts. Scuba Leeds will advise you about anything else you need.
What are the prerequisites for this course?
A child must be 8 years old or older to participate in the PADI Bubblemaker program. Kids must be comfortable in the water, but no prior experience is necessary. Parental approval is required.
Children will learn some important safety rules regarding breathing and equalisation while scuba diving from the PADI Instructor. Scuba diving and the use of scuba equipment without proper supervision or instruction can result in serious injury or death. They must be instructed in its use under the direct supervision of a qualified instructor.
