The Bubblemaker program is a one-day experience program in a pool or confined water for children 8 and older with a max depth of two meters/ six feet. Bubblemaker gear is specifically made for children and the experiences can be incredibly fun for the first time.

Children can use scuba gear and swim around in shallow water. They can have a memorable experience with no prior diving experience. They can even invite friends and have a PADI Bubblemaker party.

The Seal Team program: is a more extensive pool program for kids eight and older that covers basic scuba diving skills in addition to fun activities.

AquaMissions 1 – 5, cover basic scuba diving skills, such as breathing underwater, clearing a mask of water, recovering a regulator and swimming around experiencing the sensation of being weightless. By Completing these AquaMissions they become a recognized PADI Seal Team Member. They experience may also count toward the PADI Open Water Diver course when you’re old enough to participate in the course.

10 specialty AquaMissions, includes adventures like creature identification, search and recovery diving, and skin diving. Once all of these are complete they become PADI Master Seal Team Members – joining an elite group of young scuba divers.

PADI Junior Open Water Diver: If your child is older than 10 years old you can enrol them for the Junior PADI Open Water course. This can be done with a parent if you also want to participate so you can both get you PADI licenses to dive abroad. If you prefer to complete the dives abroad then you can do a Junior open water referral. Scuba Leeds strongly recommend that your child is at least 12 years of age if they want to complete the PADI Junior Open Water course here in the UK as the water can be cold and uncomfortable for smaller people.
