When you say “rebreathers” in a room of divers, their first reaction is usually technical diving. Well think again, because the latest sport rebreather to hit the market is the Hollis Explorer rebreather. This unit has been designed with recreational divers in mind. It is a lightweight, easy transportable unit that uses sophisticated electronics to simplify its use.
Recreational rebreathers allow longer no deco limits (more bottom time), reduced gas consumption and unmatched wildlife encounters. All of this wrapped up in a seriously easy to operate unit makes this the ideal way to experience rebreathers.
The PADI Recreational Rebreather Diver course will teach you how to assemble, disassemble and configure the Hollis Explorer. You will learn how to safely plan, manage and execute recreational rebreather dives to a maximum depth of 18m. If you are already qualified to 30m or 40m then this course can be combined with the PADI Advanced Recreational Rebreather Diver course which will extend your knowledge and experience to safely execute deeper dives.
Try something new and find out what all the fuss is about…..
“I have always said there is plenty of diving to do in the world that doesn’t need rebreathers. That's true, but there is a lot of diving I could have been doing that would have been better on rebreathers. I love how close I can get to marine life without it getting scared off, this is truly awesome” - Alex Varnals, PADI Course Director, TecRec Instructor Trainer
